Covert: Solar Eclipse Live Stream

The 2017 Solar Eclipse has arrived! Tune in to the VBDL Covert Branch Library’s Facebook page to watch the Solar Eclipse! We will live stream the eclipse beginning at 12:00 pm!

*Special note: Parents should watch children closely while viewing the eclipse. The eclipse is NOT TOTAL in Michigan, which means there will be a lot of exposed solar surface. DO NOT view the eclipse without using certified solar glasses, because it may cause serious damage to the eyes. VBDL does have certified solar eclipse glasses! Stop by your nearest branch and pick up a pair!

Bangor: The Solar Eclipse is Coming!

A member of the Kalamazoo Astronomical Society will give a presentation about the August 21st Solar Eclipse.  For ages 8 years and up.

Covert: Solar Eclipse in August!

Richard Bell of the Kalamazoo Astronomical Society will discuss the August 21st solar eclipse, what it is and how to view it safely.
