TURN THE PAGE: THE BOB SEGER STORY AT VBDL WEBSTER MEMORIAL
DECATUR, MICHIGAN – – – – Michigan is famous for many things from Vernor’s and The Dogman to Magic Johnson and Edgar Bergen. However, the “M” in Michigan also stands for decades of groundbreaking and chart-topping music from such artists as Bill Haley, Dell Shannon, Stevie Wonder and Marvin Gaye to those who need only one name to be recognized – Aretha, Madonna, Aaliyah, and Eminem.
VBDL Webster Memorial pays tribute to the music of Michigan and one of the state’s most beloved and legendary performers during the presentation of “Turn the Page: The Bob Seger Story,” with Dr. Edward Balian, Thursday, February 13, 6:00pm. Seger, who may have performed his last-ever concert in 2019, has stayed true to his legendary sound of blues, country and heartland soul for over four decades. He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2004 by Kid Rock and the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2012 by Valerie Simpson.
“Turn the Page,” released in 2019, is the only Seger biography to date. The book and presentation offer a detailed, unbiased and accurate account of Seger’s life and career as a true rock legend. Dr. Balian’s presentation in an entertaining summary of the book that includes an interactive question/answer session.
