VBDL OFFERS ONLINE HELP FOR JOBSEEKERS
DECATUR, MICHIGAN – – – -Van Buren District Library is offering help to adults who are actively seeking employment or considering changing jobs.
The Princeton Review’s Live Tutoring Center, available through VBDL.org’s eLibrary, helps today’s job seekers increase skills and improve employment prospects. The Center provides a career aptitude test, skills profiler, tips on how to land a government job, military skills translator, professional guidance on writing cover letters and résumés, interview tips and much more.
The site, made possible with support from Bloomingdale Communications, also offers information on citizenship eligibility and practice citizenship tests. The Center is staffed by live, professional career tutors daily between 9:00 am and 10:00 pm.
Residents of VBDL’s legal service are able to access the site with a valid library card. Cards are available at any one of the District’s seven locations.
The service is also available to cardholders at the following Southwest Michigan Library Cooperative members: Dowagiac District Library, Niles District Library, and Paw Paw District Library.
