VBDL CELEBRATES CINCO DE MAYO

DECATUR, MICHIGAN – – – -Van Buren District Library celebrates Cinco de Mayo, Saturday, May 5, at all seven locations. Food, music, movies, stories and more honor the rich cultural diversity of the district’s service area.

Patrons are invited to make paper bag luminaries in Bangor, play Loteria at the Antwerp Sunshine Branch, Mattawan; vote on the best chips and salsa at Webster Memorial, Decatur; enjoy a taco bar in Covert, listen to stories in Gobles, watch Disney’s “Coco” in Lawrence and add a heritage pin to Bloomingdale’s “roots” map.

The event also celebrates Free Comic Book Day with free comics courtesy of Fanfare Sports and Entertainment, Kalamazoo.
