I really enjoyed the new book Brown Girl Dreaming written by Jacqueline Woodson. I can see why this book won the 2014 National Book Award for Young People’s Literature.   It is a memoir-in-verse and is beautifully written. I was hanging onto sentences, reading them over again.   I will be recommending this book to everyone!
