VAN BUREN DISTRICT LIBRARY BOARD MEETING
NOTICE OF LIBRARY BOARD ELECTRONIC MEETING
Please take notice that the Van Buren District Library will hold a regular meeting at 4:30 p.m., on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 by convening the Library Board through remote electronic access as provided in this Notice. Proceedings conducted at this meeting are being conducted pursuant to the provisions of the Michigan Open Meetings Act and Executive Order 2020-75 (COVID-19) and 2020-77 (Stay-At-Home) and any subsequent amendment, extension, or order allowing flexibility in complying with the Michigan Open Meetings Act issued by Governor Gretchen Whitmer.
- The Library Board is meeting electronically to receive reports, to discuss the impending renovation of Webster Memorial Library, to discuss the Library’s status during the COVID-19 pandemic, its plans for reopening when permitted by the Governor, and to conduct any minimum basic operations presented to the Library Board.
- Individuals may listen to the meeting via telephone and ask questions or provide public comment at the end of the meeting by calling 1-312-626-6799, then, when prompted, entering meeting ID 819 7937 4528 and the meeting password 0526.
Once individuals have joined the meeting, the Library Director will provide information about procedures for participation. Individuals may also email their questions or comments, which will be read during the public comment period of the meeting, to Library Director Dan Hutchins at dhutchins@vbdl.org.
