PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO READ OUR POST: This notice mainly affects the patrons of VBDL Webster Memorial, Decatur, but will have some minor impact on all VBDL locations.
Beginning, Friday, October 30, VBDL Webster Memorial, 200 North Phelps Street, Decatur, will be closed for approximately three weeks. The renovation is happening! The closure is necessary to conduct asbestos remediation and to move shelving, materials, and furniture.
VBDL Webster Memorial is getting a complete overhaul: new carpet, paint, and a revamped community room! It’s going to knock your socks off when it’s done!
The closure will cause some delay in interlibrary loan. Our drivers will likely be temporarily delivering materials throughout the district two days each week instead of four.
We hope to reopen Webster as soon as staff have an area to work in that does not disrupt the contractors.
We can’t thank you enough for your patience and continued support. We are so excited to be able to put a fresh face on your library!
